World Class Dance Team

Eastside Swing Cats is comprised of passionate and talented Swing Dancers based here in the Seattle and Eastside area. Our Floorshows and performances range from the 1920's thru the 1960's Rock and Roll era. We specialize in performances that capture the look, feel and sound of the vintage times. We combine Music, Dancing and Singing with authentic costumes to provide a one of a kind performance.

Whatever your special occasion is Eastside Swing Cats Performance Team can help bring fun, excitement and atmosphere to your event.

Some Options we offer:

Floorshows: "Big Band Swing Show", "American Bandstand", "50's at the Hop", "Traveling Trunk Show", "Swinging thru Time" , "Rock & Roll Revue" and more as we are always adding new material and routines into our performances.

Social Dancing: In costume or not we can come to dance at your event to get people up dancing and interact with the crowd. We have worked with over 12 local Assisted Living Facilities and Retirement Homes as well to help create special events~ & dancing with residents is one of our favorite things to do!

Lessons: We offer a variety of lessons ranging from Swing, Lindy, Charleston, Balboa, Shag, Aerials *specialty*, Beginning to advanced available for lengths of time ranging from 30 minute lesson (to get everyone up and dancing) to longer sessions or longer workshops.

Live Band Onstage Dancing: We at Eastside Swing Cats are practiced in working with live bands to help create that "once in a lifetime- live" performance. We have worked with most of the Seattle area Bands onstage such as Route 66, Hot Club Sandwich, Portage Bay Big Band, Kings of Swing, Mach One Orchestra, Tim Casey & the Bluescats, Rain City Riff Raff, as well as onstage live w/ Swing Fever and Ernestine Anderson, Half Pack Live's Big Night Out, Tim Casey & the Bluescats Jump & Swing Show (2+ years running show)and many more. Mix and match the above to create your special event. We are available for corporate, private, large or small events, balls or parties.We are also available for Television, Print and Theatre performances as well as Outdoor Concerts. We have union and non union talent avaialble.

Looking for Dancers/Performers to Join the Team! - We are looking for dancers with LindyHop and Swing dance experience..(Shag, Balboa & Aerials experience helpful..or willing to learn).

Basic Info: We meet, rehearse and work on choreography, moves and routines once a week on the Eastside- currently on Monday evenings. Dancers must have own transportation. No dues or fees. Dancers provide their own costumes.

What's in it for you? You will learn a TON. Many of our Performances are Paid...with the exception of Charity Benefits and some Retirement Home Performances which we do as a Community Service .You will learn fun and challenging choreography.You will be part of a Team working together for fun, physical fitness and to challenge yourself to become the best dancer / and performer you can be. You will have the opportunity to perform at a variety of venues...and have a chance to express your own unique dance style. We encourage our performers to hit new levels with "live band performances"....like the original Swing and Lindy Dancers and "Themed Shows" similar to the old USO performances.
